Changing representation
Dear editor:
First, let me state I am not a congressional scholar, merely a concerned citizen. I have witnessed the despicable conduct of our president, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Hawley, and over 140 House representatives. I decided to check if their claims of election fraud have any merit.
If you have a computer you can also check. Most of these claims of fraud center around mail-in ballots. Some changed their procedures allowing who can mail in ballots, when they must be received to be considered and/or when they are counted. These changes were made months and in some cases over a year before the election. If the august members of Congress were so outraged by these changes, one would expect to see their displeasure on T.V. or in the Congressional Record. Surely,
Sens. Cruz or Hawley stood on the floor of the Senate berating their fellow senators from Arizona, Georgia or Pennsylvania and denouncing the changes. At least one of the House members must have proposed changes to the Constitution or federal election laws to correct these egregious violations. Yet, I found nothing prior to Nov. 3. It appears that their concern only surfaced after the election was lost.
President Trump and others have rightfully called some of the Democrats socialists. Well, let us be honest: throwing out millions of votes because we don’t like the results is fascism. As the president wants to break from the Republican Party, Sen. Cruz, Sen. Hawley, and the 140 House representatives should quit calling themselves Republicans and join the fascist or Communist Party. They can start by calling themselves “comrade.” As a lifelong Republican, I will take a page from these “patriots’” playbook and disavow their election as representatives of the people.
