Photo Finishers celebrates 25 years with award and expanded services

-

Since 1996, The Photo Finishers (voted Hot Springs’ Best Photo and Video Store by the readers of The Sentinel-Record once again) has been serving the photo and video imaging needs of clients in Hot Springs and all over the United States.

From very humble beginnings, the list of photographic services offered has expanded to encompass a seemingly unlimited amount of photo, video and audio services performed locally at the Albert Pike location, including film and digital printing from cameras and phones, batteries, film, media cards, frames, albums, Video Transfer services, passport photos, portrait and commercial studio photography, photo restorations, old photos copied, private and personal video and audio tributes for memorial and funeral services, and much more.

“For all of our 25 years, I have worked hard to offer the most complete variety of video, audio, photo imaging and photography services available anywhere under one roof, and I think we have been very successful with that,” Waco Hill, business owner, said in a news release.

“It’s really hard for me to think of any photo imaging service — traditional or digital — that we have not provided over the years, and we are constantly adding services as technology changes. It seems like we do it all.”

The Photo Finishers can process and print film in any size or format, color, black and white or slides. It offers digitizing and traditional printing services even from digital camera and phone files.

Copy, digitize and printing services of any size old photographs, custom-sized professional poster and enlargement printing is available at the Albert Pike Location as well as full-service old photo copy and restoration services.

“We have copied originals up to 3 feet plus, so we really are not limited as some other labs might be by original size or condition. If there is damage to the photos, we can restore them and make them look better than new.”

“We do lots of videotape transfer to DVD as well as old 8-mm film, VHS and even Beta. Many people don’t know that we also are capable of transferring analog audio tape to CD format. We give huge discounts for those with a large quantity of video tapes, so it makes the transfer very affordable and within reach for any budget. The list of all the things we are capable of doing is really a bit mind-boggling to me reflecting on where we started. I really don’t know of anywhere in the world you can get as many things done under one roof,” Hill says.

“Like everyone else, we are hopeful that the COVID-19 situation is finally coming under control, though we have never closed completely, we have limited access and put on hold our group photography training events, and I very much look forward to holding some classes and workshops in the coming months. We are still requiring masks, clean between each client and offer hand sanitizer stations. Our safety and our clients’ safety is our top priority. We have been offering pick up, delivery and shipping services to those unable to come in to the store.”

In addition to lab services, they have a full-service family and children’s portrait studio on-site “where you can take your portraits home the same day.”

For 25 years, The Photo Finishers have been located at 1819 Albert Pike Suite F in Hot Springs. All work is done in-house and on-site, “so you never have to trust your precious mementos to the risk of shipping.”
