Arvest Foundation makes $6K donation to support Challenge
The Arvest Foundation recently made a donation of $6,000 to the Arkansas Community Foundation in support of the Acts of Kindness Challenge hosted by the Unity Coalition of Garland County.
“The purpose of this program is to encourage local students to use social media to advocate for spreading kindness and positivity in their schools and communities,” a news release said.
“We are so appreciative of the Arvest Foundation for this generous donation,” Joyce Whitfield, executive director of the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation, said in the release.
“The past year has been a tough one on students, and we hope the Acts of Kindness initiative has a wide-reaching impact on them,” Whitfield said.
“The Arkansas Community Foundation is a wonderful organization, and ranks in the top 60 of more than 800 community foundations in the United States,” Franklin Bass, community market
president for Arvest Bank in Hot Springs, said in the release.
“The Acts of Kindness Challenge will have an impact on many young people in our area, and I can’t wait to see the posts of encouragement shared across social media,” Bass said.
The Arkansas Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to rallying the support of generous people and businesses to participate in hyper-focused giving initiatives, which address current and future needs of our communities. The Arkansas Community Foundation covers the entire state,” it said.
