Claudine Prince

-

“Rejoice in the Lord …”

Claudine Prince left this life and was received into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021. She was 83 years old.

Claudine arrived into this world with her twin sister, Emmaline, on March 1, 1938, in Nimrod, Ark., to parents Claude and Ada Marie Camp. She graduated from Bismarck High School, where she met the love of her life, Eldridge Prince. They married and moved to Long Beach, Calif., where they had their daughters, Melanie and Marcia. After returning to Arkansas in the late 1960s, she went to work for Arkansas Bank and Trust Company, where she worked as a New Accounts representative. After leaving banking in the early 1980s, she spent the rest of her earthly life caring for her grandchildren and traveling with her husband, as well as her twin sister.

Claudine’s passion besides her family, was her love of and devotion to the Lord. She reveled in his Word, and shared that joy with her family and fellow church members. Claudine sang in the choir at every church she attended over her life and was a devoted Sunday School member and teacher at times. She was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and past member of Lake Hamilton Baptist Church, Second Baptist Church and Crossgate Baptist Church. Oh, how she loved the Lord. Claudine, along with her twin sister, Emmaline, spent every day speaking with one another, taking trips and even “switching places” at times to prank others. They always got a kick out of that.

Claudine was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, “Granny Neal.”

She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Eldridge Prince; her daughters, Melanie Barentine (Larry) and Marcia Davenport (Steve); her grandchildren, Melissa Puckett (Jeff), Jarrid Stacy and Heath Stacy (Tanda); and great-grandchildren, Ella Kate and Asa Puckett. She is also survived by her twin sister, Emmaline Miller (Johnny), and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, with visitation starting at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers are Jarrid Stacy, Heath Stacy, Jeff Puckett, David Cansler, Jadyn Howard and Weldon Prince.

And a thanks to her many friends over the years, especially Helen Webb, Dana Vance and Betty Files.
