Glen D. Shuffield, a celebratio­n of life.

He was born in Fort Madison, Iowa, on Feb. 23, 1953. He went peacefully to see the Lord on Nov. 18, 2021, after a battle with cancer. Salute to Genesis Cancer Center and Arkansas Hospice.

Glen is preceded in death by his father and mother, Ray Shuffield, Joyce Boyer Shuffield; his grandparen­ts, Ruth and Elmer Boyer; a brother, Garry Shuffield; a sister, Gail Crab; a wife, Barbra Shuffield.

Glen is survived by his wife, Marilyn Shuffield. Sisters, Gwen Bray and Ginger Clark. Stepsons, Michael Clark, Shane (Milissa) Henson, and stepdaught­ers, Patty (Ted) Van Tassel, Stormie (Grayson) Speaks. Stepbrothe­r, Steve (Mary) Shuffield. Four grandsons, David (Ariana) Crews, Josh (Kalyah) Clark, Jacob Clark and Jessie Clark. Two great-grandchild­ren, Thatcher Crews and Alorah Clark.

Glen completed high school in Bismarck, Ark., in 1971. Also went to Henderson College before attending University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le Arkansas. He worked at the Soil Conservati­on Center in Hot Springs, Ark.

Once retiring from the U.S.

Post Office, after 31 years of service. He was president of the Bismarck Business Associatio­n, where he establishe­d many fundraiser­s. Also a Boy Scout leader for his grandsons. He has been the backbone of the Hope Outreach Food Pantry for 11 years, which he was the director, fundraiser and wore many hats.

He attended New Beginnings Outreach Church, where he blew the shofar every Sunday morning.

A memorial service will be held at New Beginnings Church at 11 a.m. on Dec. 4.
