MOUNTAIN PINE — Johnnie Mae Crumpton, of Mountain Pine, met the Lord she faithfully served all her life on Dec. 2, 2021. She was 86 years old, born on April 20, 1935, to John Vernon and Erna D. Dove Smith. Johnnie Mae married the love of her life, R.C. “Snuffy” Crumpton, on June 18, 1951. She was a lifetime member of Gum Springs Methodist Church.

During her time at Village Springs Nursing and Rehab, she loved all the activities, especially bingo, painting, word search, and always loved sharing the word and singing “God on the Mountain.” Johnnie Mae represente­d Village Springs Health and Rehab as Queen and was chosen and honored to be one of “The Golden Girls.” Johnnie Mae was always strong, faithful and loved all.

She is predecease­d by her parents; husband of 62 years, R.C. “Snuffy” Crumpton; five children: Robert Crumpton, Danny Ray Crumpton, Infant Crumpton, Brenda Crumpton and Cecil Eugene Crumpton; son-in-law, Jimmy Cosby; grandson, Lance Cosby; granddaugh­ter, Lori Crumpton; brother, Eric Smith; and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Crumpton.

Cherishing her memories are daughter, Linda Cosby of Jessievill­e; son, David (Bettina) Crumpton of Mountain Pine; daughter-in-law, Peggy Crumpton of Chuckey Tenn.; sister, Nellie Jean Smith Crumpton; grandchild­ren, Cynthia (Kyle) Coombs, Missy (Brian) Weaver, Sean Crumpton, Chris (Desha) Reddin, Mychal (Kimmie) Crumpton, Mary Ruth Silvers, Kenny (Angel) Shelton, Kristina (Kenny) Shelton, Brandi K. Mendez; a host of great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews; and her adopted family at Village Springs Health and Rehab.

Johnnie Mae’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Village Springs Health and Rehab for letting her light shine!!

Pallbearer­s are Kyle Coombs, Chase Chitwood, Brian Weaver, Chris Reddin, Mychal Crumpton, Sean Crumpton and John Smith. Honorary pallbearer­s are Bobby and Brenda Ragsdale and their family, Howard and Brenda Johnson, Kenny and Robin Whiley, Joretta Mcneely, Village Church of Christ and Arkansas Hospice at CHI.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. today, Dec. 8, 2021, at Caruth Village Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with Brother Larry Mcneely officiatin­g. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
