Norma J.R. Hill

-

Norma Jean (Robinson) Hill, beloved wife of Rev. James Hill, passed from this life to the life that awaits all Christian believers on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at the age of 92 years.

Norma and Jim met in church following Jim’s military service during World War II and became better acquainted as students at Howard College (now Samford University). The couple married in 1951 and Norma began her public school teaching career while Jim continued his theological education and later pastoral ministry in Kentucky and Arkansas. Norma was a strong supporter of her husband’s work and a dedicated church member, serving in the music and educational ministries of the churches they served. After retirement, the Hills moved to the Atrium at Serenity Pointe to enjoy the remaining years of their lives.

They are the parents of two attentive children, Deborah (David) Wetzler of Hot Springs and Jonathan Hill of New Orleans. The couple also have three adult grandchildren of whom they are most proud: Nathan Wetzler, Kristen Wetzler and Samantha Hill.

The family would like to thank the staff at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab for their excellent care, love and kindness given to Norma and the entire family.
