Jill J. Budd

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Jill Jeanine Budd was born on July 30, 1933, in Liberal, Kan., to Ralfe and Phyllis Budd.

She did most of her growing up in Memphis, Tenn., where she met and married the father of her three daughters. During that time, she was very actively involved with the Medical Auxiliary and various charitable groups like The King’s Daughters. Eventually, she moved to Hot Springs Village, Ark., to be near her parents. She worked in the hospitalit­y sector managing the Community Center of the Village at Hot Springs. Her many friends described her as creative, vivacious, personable and caring. In 2020, she moved to Alpharetta, Ga., to live with her youngest daughter, where she and her husband cared for her as her health began to fail.

After a brief hospitaliz­ation, she lost her battle with cancer and went to be with

Our Lord on Feb. 22, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Pamela Pedigo Hollis.

She is survived by two daughters, Mellinda Pedigo Brandon (Thomas) and Phyllis Pedigo Harris (Tommy); grandchild­ren, Christophe­r and Courtney Brandon, and Tereasa Hollis of Colorado.

While our hearts are broken, we are grateful to have had our mother for as long as we did.

A celebratio­n of life will be held by the family at a future date.

Kynden G. Dunkin

Kynden Gene Dunkin passed away peacefully in the arms of his parents on Feb. 27, 2022.

He was born Feb. 25, 2022. Kynden spent only a moments in their arms, but he is forever in the hearts of his mother, Makenzi Sheffield; father, Stephen “Gene” Dunkin Jr.; siblings, Nova Ella Grace Dunkin, Stephen Eugene Dunkin III, Kimber Jade Dunkin; grandparen­ts, Stephen Eugene Dunkin Sr., Veda (Anderson) Dunkin, Steve Sheffield Sr. and Kyla Sheffield.

A private service will be held by family.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — James W. (Jim) Edmonds, 84, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., passed away March 1, 2022.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Caruth Village Funeral Home, Hot Springs Village, Ark.

Funeral service and interment will be 12:45 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery.

Ann Louise Glass, age 65, of Hot Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home chapel, Hot Springs.

Wilford Hill

Wilford “Carl” Hill, 57, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022.

He was born May 26, 1964, in Arkadelphi­a, Ark.

He was predecease­d by his father, Winston Hill, and brother, Charles Johnson.

Survivors include his children, Wilford Hill Jr., Winston Hill; Ricki Martin, Stacii Floyd; mother, Virginia (James) Johnson; sister, Vita Ross; brothers, Dewayne (Crystal) Johnson, James Johnson Jr.; and several grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today, March 4, 2022, at Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

Gail E. Parks

Gail Elaine Parks, age 77, a resident of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at CHI St. Vincent hospital in Hot Springs, Ark.

She was born Feb. 2, 1945, in De Queen, Ark. Gail enjoyed genealogy, gardening, quilting and spending time with her family.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband, D.V. “Jim” Parks; her parents, Samuel and Stella Farley Reves; one son, Benny Parks; and one grandson, Jason Parks.

She is survived by three daughters, Alicia Cooley (Jared), Shelly Kilby and Starla Bleifus (Steve); one daughter-in-law, Kim Parks; one son, Vernon Parks (Brenda); one brother, Tim Reves; nine grandchild­ren and 10 great-grandchild­ren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Parks will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022, in the Gillham First Baptist Church with Brother David Mason officiatin­g. Burial will follow in the Mineral Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral home.

Lorenzo W. Tobias Sr.

Lorenzo Wonzene Tobias Sr., 54, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2022, from COVID-related complicati­ons.

Lorenzo was born on Aug. 4, 1967, to Fannie and Luther Tobias Jr. in Oroville, Calif. He graduated with his GED in Oroville. He worked as a community care specialist with The Salvation Army, while serving as a recruiting sergeant. He worked for Butte County Hope Assistance as a case manager. He also worked on the California, First-Five Commission. He was working on a degree through Post University at the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with his children and grandchild­ren.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by his father, Luther Tobias Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Fannie Tobias of Oroville, Calif.; his children: Lorenzo Tobias Jr. (Heather) of Hot Springs, Lakiesha Tobias of Austin, Texas, Lacie Moore of Oroville, Brandon Cantwell of Oroville and Larissa Tobias of Hot Springs; his sister, Shela Tobias-Daniel (Earl) of Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchild­ren; a niece; three nephews and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service is pending and will be held in Oroville, Calif.
