HS Toastmasters to meet Saturday

Hot Springs Toastmasters Club 7643 will hold its regular meeting at 8 a.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, 3804 Central Ave., and via Zoom.

Later in the day, online division speech contests will take place, with two members of this club participating.

Casey Clem and Nancy Britt took first place in the annual International Speech and Evaluation contests at the Area A-3 level following the club contests. Links will be made available for members who wish to watch the division contest on Zoom.

Subsequent contests, at the district level, include competitors from all of District 43, which covers all of Arkansas, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. That event will be in late April.

In-person participants at Saturday’s meeting are encouraged to bring or wear a mask.

If attendance is high enough, a larger room is available. Easy access is available at the back of the church building, off Files Road.

There is no charge to attend and see what the club is about. Meetings normally are one hour long.
