HS Toastmasters to meet Saturday

-

Hot Springs Toastmasters Club 7643 will hold its regular meeting at 8 a.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene, 3804 Central Ave., and via Zoom.

Member Casey Clem took first place on April 2 in the annual International Speech and Evaluation contests, at the Division A level of District 43, following the club and area contests. That makes him eligible for the districtwide contest at the Spring District Conference, April 22-23. District 43 covers all of Arkansas, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi.

The first-place winner at that district contest is eligible for regional and potentially international competition. Toastmasters has clubs all over the world, on all continents besides Antarctica. The competition will be available online.

In-person participants at Saturday’s meeting are encouraged to bring or wear a mask.

If attendance is high enough, a larger room is available. Easy access is available at the back of the church building, off Files Road.

There is no charge to attend and see what the club is about. Meetings normally are one hour long.
