Charlotte “Candy” Volk Lee, age 71, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, after a long and heroic battle with cancer.

She was a graduate of Cross County High School and received her Bachelors in Music with a Minor in Piano from Arkansas State University. Charlotte was a proud member of the Epsilon Chapter of Phi Mu Sorority, where she made lifelong friends. She taught music to elementary and high school students across Arkansas for over 30 years. Charlotte’s talents were many. She was an exceptiona­l pianist, an accomplish­ed cook, beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend, who loved to entertain. She enjoyed spending time in her yard gardening, traveling with her husband to see her grandkids and spending time at the beach and lake with her family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, John Clifton and Audrey (Urfer) Volk.

She is survived by her sweetheart and husband of almost 48 years, David Lee; three beloved daughters and sons-in law, Peyton and Mike Dobrovich of Little Rock, Erin and Lane Oliver of Stuttgart, and Lauren Lee and Eric Mulherin of Little Rock; four grandchild­ren, Hannah Oliver McMurray, Luke Oliver, and Kale and Beau Dobrovich; and brother, Keith Volk; and too many friends to count.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at CaruthHale Life Celebratio­n Center at 2529 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913. All family and friends are welcome to attend.

The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Dr. Divers and everyone at Genesis Cancer Center.
