PALM COAST, Fla. — Willis Roberson, of Palm Coast, transition­ed on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

The son of Warren and Carrie (Everett) Roberson and Lucille (Tidwell) Roberson, he was a native of Oakland, La. Willis was a 1960 graduate of Langston High School, Hot Springs, Ark., and was baptized at an early age at Greater St. Paul Baptist Church. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Willis earned a bachelor’s degree from Knoxville College. He was united in marriage to the former Carolyn Mccrary in Salisbury, N.C. They relocated to St. Paul, Minn., and became members of Mount Olivet Baptist Church. He retired as a freight transporta­tion coordinato­r with CHS Inc., Inver Grove Heights. In 2016, they moved to Palm Coast, Fla., and became members of Mount Tabor First Baptist Church, Palatka. He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents; sisters, Claudine Providence, Carmen Jackson, Sally Loudermill, Christine Means; stepbrothe­r, Claude Robinson.

To cherish his memories: wife of 51 years, Carolyn Mccrary Roberson; daughter, Rukiya R. Roberson; son, Rashad Roberson; two aunts, Trudy Robinson, Idella (John) Harris; and a host of other relatives.

Celebratio­n of life (with U.S. Army military honors) at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Mount Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, the Rev. Karl N. Flagg, pastor, officiatin­g. Interment: Jacksonvil­le National Cemetery.
