William Harrison “Chip” Blocker, age 63, of Hot Springs, passed away July 17, 2022. He is predecease­d by his father, John Blocker, mother, Shirley Blocker, sister, Johnna Elliott, and brother, Matthew Blocker.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kristine Blocker, children Darren (Justine) Blocker, Taryn Blocker and three beautiful grandchild­ren Harrison, Harper and Harley Blocker. He is also survived by his brother, Chris (Anna) Blocker.

Chip grew up on his family’s farm in Mountain Valley, Ark. His love for agricultur­e led him to the University of Arkansas where he majored in Animal Science. He was an industry leader in the poultry business for 40 years. He never met a stranger with his largerthan-life personalit­y. His continuous hard work was his display of deep love for his family. Our family is grateful to know that Chip is with the Lord. He served on several mission trips with First Baptist Church, Hot Springs to Nicaragua, Peru, Russia, Alaska and Czech Republic. His connection with people came from his genuine concern and compassion.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, at First Baptist Church-hot Springs with a celebratio­n of Chip’s life immediatel­y following at 11 a.m. with Brother Mike Pounders officiatin­g. All are welcome.

Private burial at Fourche Loupe Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s include Eddy Slick, Dent Burks, Chris Blocker, Darren Blocker, Chuck Culpepper, and Don Flynn.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Missions at First Baptist Church-hot Springs.
