June Lee Martin, 85, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Aug. 8, 2022. Junie Lee, Miss June, Grandma, GiGi, Mom … with a heart of gold, she spent a lifetime of caring for family, friends and others. Her door was always open.

She was the daughter of Susie Elizabeth White Benefield and Arville Lee Burchfield, growing up as one of nine children. She and husband Roland were the parents of Randall Dale Menser, Jacqueline Sue Holmes, Michael Scott Menser and Kathryn Leigh Menser. After Roland’s passing in 1985, she was happily married to Kenneth Martin for 10 years.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Kathy); 11 grandchild­ren, Kathryn Snow, Randy, Rick (Heather), John (Jennifer), Mike (Amanda), Amanda, Zach (Melissa), Kristin Holmes (Kyle Kunert), Chelsea (Matt Freyberg), Carly Miller (Rob), Eric (Hayley); 13 great-grandchild­ren, Kaleb, Jackson, Scarlet, Joshua, Colton, Amara, Ava, Archier, Soren, Rhylee, Kaydance, Mikey and Charlotte; son-in-law, Don Holmes; daughters-in-law, Renee Johnson and Linda Menser; brother, Calvin Benefield (Frances); sisters, Maye Miles, Carolyn Wright and Jane Floyd.

She was predecease­d by son, Randy; daughter, Jacque Holmes, daughter, Kathryn Leigh Menser; husbands, Roland and Ken; parents; sister, Glenda Riggs; brother, Thomas Ripkay. Sister Frances Smith passed away shortly after her.

GiGi, “we love you to the moon and back” … save us a seat, we hope to be with you again one day.

A memorial service will be held at her church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022; Mountain Valley Baptist Church, 400 W. Glazypeau Road, Hot Springs AR 71909.
