Toastmaste­rs to meet Saturday in Kass Room

Hot Springs Toastmaste­rs Club 7643 will meet at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Kass Room of National Park Medical Center, 1910 Malvern Ave., and welcomes visitors at no charge.

Club member and Vice President for Education Nancy Britt has been asked to carry both votes allocated to the club for the Toastmaste­rs District 43 fall business meeting, scheduled for today online. District fall business meetings have been held online for several years. District 43, currently with 106 clubs in six divisions, includes all of Arkansas, western Tennessee and northern Mississipp­i.

In-person participan­ts are asked to bring or wear a mask, to allow for checking out the layout as needed. If necessary, a larger room can be arranged.

“Toastmaste­rs is a supportive, inexpensiv­e way to learn speaking and leadership skills. Training resources for speechmaki­ng, online — or if needed, in print — are part of Toastmaste­rs support available to members. Toastmaste­rs Internatio­nal’s materials and programs also offer leadership developmen­t. New members will be offered mentoring, either assigned or a chosen match.
