Concert Band prepares for Autumn Concert
Having completed its successful 2022 summer concert series, the Hot Springs Concert Band is beginning its 48th season in preparation for its annual Autumn Concert, which will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, in the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village.
“The band is very pleased to have Community First Trust Company, a longtime supporter of the Hot Springs Concert Band, as the sponsor for this concert,” a news release said.
Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Craig Hamilton is beginning his 24th season with the band, which will perform selections including “Hebrides Suite,” “Falling Leaves,” “Exhilaration,” “Autumn Leaves,” “Nightride,” “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral,” “Out of this World,” “Anthem For Winds and Percussion,” “Funiculi Funicula,” “With Each Sunset,” “The Liberty Bell (march),” “Hocus Pocus,” and “American Folk Rhapsody.”
“And, not to rush things, but before you know it Christmas will be on the horizon and with that comes the band’s annual Christmas Concert,” the release said. The Christmas Concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodlands Auditorium.
“This special event is always a fun and reflective time as the band plays some of your traditional standards of the season and even throws in a few special songs that perhaps you haven’t heard for a while. And as always, the band expects you to sing along with us on a few favorites,” the release said.

For ticket holders who live outside Hot Springs Village, having proof of a concert ticket purchase will expedite entrance through the gates, the release said.
