Eva N.P. Bailey

PEARCY — Eva Nell (Phillips) Bailey, age 87, of Pearcy, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, after a sudden battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family while peaceful at home.

She was born to the late Christopher Columbus Phillips and Lillie Diffie Phillips on Dec. 20, 1935. She was married to Harvey Joe Bailey for 62 years.

Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe, as well as her parents, CC and Lillie Phillips. All her siblings welcomed her arrival at Heaven’s gate with warmth and love.

Eva was known by many names, Wife, Mother, Momma, Mamaw … regardless of her title, her living legacy revolves around her daughters, Terri (Willard) Morrison and Sherri Bailey Tan. Grandchildren, Holly (Dustin) Bosley, Matt (Rachael) Morrison, Mandy Morrison and Jesse Morrison. Along with six great-grandchildren and a wealth of family and friends.

Eva was a faithful member of Pearcy Baptist Church. She was a loving and selfless caregiver to anyone in need. Whether spiritual or physical, Eva loved everyone with a righteous Christian heart.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2023, in the Smith Family Funeral Home chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment in the Beaton Cemetery, Bismarck.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Brad Moss, Bubba Spray, Jason Frost, Jimmy White, Kenny Knox and Robert Blade.
