Hot Springs Toastmasters to meet on Saturday
Hot Springs Toastmasters Club 7643 will hold its regular weekly club meeting at 8 a.m. Saturday in the Kass Room of National Park Hospital, 1910 Malvern Ave.
Visitors are welcome and are asked to contact the club if planning to attend. There is no charge to attend and see what the club is about. Meetings normally are one hour long.
“Toastmasters is a supportive, inexpensive way to learn speaking and leadership skills. This includes prepared speeches, with training resources, feedback and mentors as part of Toastmasters support available to members. Also, the club practices impromptu speaking, which is a fun way to spiff up how you do with this speaking option, and visitors have the option to participate. Meeting roles rotate from one week to the next,” a news release said.
“Toastmasters International’s materials and programs also offer leadership development.”
The club’s officer slate for the 2023-24 program year will take office July 1. Installation is expected later this month or on July 1. This is a potential route to a higher office in the organization. Hot Springs Toastmasters is part of District 43, which covers all of Arkansas, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. Toastmasters International has approximately 16,000 clubs around the world, in all continents besides Antarctica. The international conference is upcoming in August.
There is also a Zoom option. Visit https://7643.toastmastersclubs.org/ or call 501-767-6096 or 501-538-3778 for more information, or contact the club via the “find a club” option on the Toastmasters International website, https://www.toastmasters.org/.
