Christophe­r Vann, 49, of Hot Springs, Ark., was born June 23, 1974, in Little Rock, Ark., to Jerry and Alice Vann. He went to be with the Lord on Sept. 14, 2023. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Vann. He is survived by Alice Vann - mother; Ronnie Vann (Beth) - brother; Jack Fields (Jeanne) - brother; Regina Vann - sister; Teresa Lowry (Karl) - sister; Tracie Taylor (David) - sister; Brayden Vann - son; Brooke Vann - daughter; and Dawn Vann - mother of his children.

Chris served in the United States Navy and upon retirement as a lieutenant became a teacher. He was a proud Father, Sailor, Patriot, Son, Teacher and Brother.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

A celebratio­n of Chris’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, with Pastor Greg Bearss officiatin­g. He will be laid to rest near his father at Crestview Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at City Life Church of Hot Springs, Ark.

Pallbearer­s are Lt. Cmdr. JK Smith, Brayden Vann, Nick Lowry, Corbet Deary, Dakota Herring, Floyd “Hack” Hackney, James Driver and Tom Qualls.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Adm. J. Scott Jones, Ronnie Vann, David Taylor, Karl Lowry, Andy Mahfouz, Riley Fields, Rick Qualls, Jesus Avelar, and the men and women in the United States Navy who served with Chris.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Shelia Gilmore and Benny Tucker.
