BERT JOHNSON

Bert Johnson, age 62, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at his home in Hot Springs.

He was born April 18, 1962, in Nashville, Ark., to the late Harlow “Buddy” Johnson Jr. and Barbara Kay Lightfoot Johnson.

Bert had diverse interests; he loved sports, hunting, cooking and the outdoors. Whether it was football, waterskiin­g, golf, fishing, duck hunting, or even building and racing his own car, Bert immersed himself in anything that caught his eye. He loved music and quoted songs to stories and memories. He was always looking for his next adventure.

Bert was a beloved friend, a devoted son and a proud father. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Jeff Johnson of Fayettevil­le, and his mother, Gina Johnson of Arkadelphi­a, as well as intimate friends, Lee and Kelli Doege of Hot Springs.

No funeral services will be held per his request.

Instead, memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, http://www.stjude.org, and to Habitat for Humanity, http://www. habitat.org.

Elizabeth Turner, 77, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Celebratio­n of life will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, 336 E. Grand Ave.

John Williams, 74, of Hot Springs, Ark., transition­ed on Thursday, April 25, 2024, in Hot Springs, Ark.

Funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with visitation starting one hour prior, at Nazarene Baptist Church.
