Coroner’s officials Friday released the name of a 22-year- old Newhall woman who was found dead in a car Thursday on a residential street in Newhall.

The body of Jazmin Gonzalez was found inside a parked vehicle in the 22400 block of Shadeland Drive on Thursday afternoon.

Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department called to the scene believe her death was an accident and do not suspect foul play was involved, homicide Sgt. Troy Ewing said Friday.

Ewing said alcohol may have been involved in Gonzalez’s death. An

alcohol bottle was found in the car, he said.

An official cause of death by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department had not been determined Friday. A coroner’s spokeswoman said an examination of the body was scheduled this morning.

A witness who lives on the street said he saw the car parked at 3 a.m. Thursday as he left for work. Robert Hadnot said his wife was the person who called 911 Thursday afternoon after construction workers at a nearby house discovered the body inside the car.
