Hart district recognizes employees of the year

The William S. Hart Union High School District honored the work of 19 employees this week, naming them as the district’s “classified employees of the year.”

This year’s honorees run the gamut in terms of job responsibi­lities and include custodians, office managers, and various technician­s and assistants.

“This is the best of what we are, nearly 2,000 employees all brought together to make this district the best it can be for the 22,000-plus students and their families,” said Hart district Superinten­dent Vicki Engbrecht, in a statement. “I am really happy to see their efforts rewarded like this.” This year’s honorees are:

Danny Ross, network systems administra­tor, Administra­tive Center

Dawn Anaya, student store clerk, Arroyo Seco Junior High School

Carrie Covell, school office manager, Bowman High School

Donnie Kite, custodian, Canyon High School

Tracey Pedroza, career transition adviser, Career Visions Center

Kelly Janney, school office manager, Golden Oak Adult School

Sandra Seufert, textbook technician, Golden Valley High School

Mindy Braun, office assistant I, Hart High School

Maria Chee, bilingual instructio­nal assistant, La Mesa Junior High School

Sonia Martinez, health technician, Placerita Junior High School
