2 bodies found in home
Homicide detectives called out to investigate; no foul play suspected
No foul play is suspected in the deaths of two people found inside a Canyon Country home Thursday evening, according to investigators.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of Pleasantdale Street for a welfare check after an informant called police to say the residents of the home had not been seen for several weeks and there was a strong odor coming from the home.
Deputies entered the residence at 6:15 p.m. and found an adult male and adult female in advanced stages of decomposition. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau was
called to investigate.
Lt. John Corina of the Homicide Bureau said it appears both people died of natural causes, but the
exact cause of death will not be known until after the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Department completes an autopsy.
“It looks like possibly one passed away quite a while ago, and the other passed away more
recently,” Corina said Friday.
Due to the decomposition of the bodies, investigators have not been able to confirm their identities. However, they believe both individuals lived at that residence.
