Truck fire shuts down highway

A truck fire near Gorman kept fire crews busy for more than two hours Monday morning.

Firefighte­rs with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to a truck on fire on Highway 138 at Gorman Post Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers described the burning truck as a moving truck that was fully engulfed in flames.

The semi-truck trailer was completely destroyed by the fire.

The fire forced officers to close all westbound traffic on Highway 138 for about an hour.

No one was injured in the incident.
