Biographer to Sign New Book

What: Journalist and biographer Douglass K. Daniel will be signing his new book “Anne Bancroft: A Life.” It is the first biography to cover the entire scope of the life and career of the actress, best known for playing Mrs. Robinson in “The Graduate” and for her Oscar-winning performanc­e in “The Miracle Worker.”

The Brittany Foundation Open House

2017 LA Co Sheriff’s Dept. Fun in the Sun Chili Cook-Off

What: Chili booths, classic car show, live music, kids zone, LASD displays, crafters, vendors, family fun. All proceeds benefit the Special Olympics, Southern California, Santa Clarita and Tri Valley. When: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Where: Jack Bones Equestrian Center, 26983 Tapia Canyon Rd., Castaic
