On Oct 14, 2017, at the SCAA 28th Annual Art Classic, a $1000 check was presented to College of the Canyons, for the Sharon Bradley COC Scholarship Fund. Pamela Bailey Lewis accepted for COC Foundation/Friends of the Fine Arts.

“We are so grateful for the donation!” said Lewis, Director of Art Galleries. Four generous donors offered to match any donations the SCAA collected.

Bradley passed away on February 13, 2016 after a long struggle with multiple ailments. Bradley was a driving force in Santa Clarita Artists Association (SCAA), as a founding member in 1989, dedicating herself to the love of art. She was always there to help in all activities and art shows.

“Sharon’s artificial floral arrangements were generously donated for our raffles and holiday parties. Over the years she held several board positions, including VP, Treasurer, and Membership Chair. She created the Historian position and photographed the club’s activities from 1989-1994. She was instrumental in creating the high school art scholarship, which was near and dear to her heart,” said Cheri Marcovitch.

Bradley was a talented awardwinning artist in acrylics and photography and more recently she added computer graphics to her list of accomplishments. In 2013 Bradley was presented with the Spirit of the Arts Award for her devotion and generosity. Pictured here with her very close friend, Patti Cook, former SCAA President 1996 and 1997.
