Canyon notches win over Highland

Canyon girls basketball beat Highland 89-21 on the road on Tuesday night.

Talia Taufaasau led the Cowboys with 22 points, while Gabby Sanchez followed with 20 points and seven rebounds. Rachel Bowers pulled down five rebounds as well.

The Cowboys will host Ribet Academy in their home opener on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Trinity 35, Lancaster Baptist 23

Trinity Towns led the Knights with 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Hannah Caddow added 13 points and 15 rebounds.

With the win, Trinity moves to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in Heritage League play.
