Eileen Miller passed away in Newhall, CA on Saturday, January 26, 2018, just seven days short of her 100th birthday. She was born in Guthrie Center, IA to Sherman and Mary Gladys Lemmon on February 2, 1918.

Eileen had a full life in service to her Savior. From growing up in a preacher’s family to marrying a preacher, she was able to use the gifts God gave her to glorify Him. She started playing the piano in church when she was quite young and became an accomplish­ed pianist.

Eileen graduated from San Francisco State University majoring in Education. She taught elementary school for 22 years retiring in 1980.

Eileen took delight in her family, supporting and encouragin­g each one to reach their potential, always with the emphasis on serving God. She loved her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. She loved to listen to the hymns. Her focus was always on sharing with whom she came in contact and her life had a Christian impact on many others.

Eileen is survived by her sister Donna; her daughters: Linda Fleming, Laurie and Jim Andrews, Debbie and Dave McKean, and Patrice and Bill Thompson; her 15 grandchild­ren, 31 great-grandchild­ren and 1 great- great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sisters Ardith Smead and Jackie Penney, and her husband Stanley.

The family of Eileen Miller celebrated the home going of their beloved mother, grandmothe­r, and great-grandmothe­r with a private graveside service at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in Newhall, CA, where she was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Rev.
