D-backs take down Dodgers

Clayton Kershaw pitched six innings, giving up two-runs with six strikeouts as the Dodgers lost 6-1 to the Arizona Diamondbac­ks on Tuesday.

Austin Barnes and Chris Taylor went 1-3 with Barnes scoring the Dodgers’ only run of the game, on Taylor’s lone hit. Corey Seager and Yasiel Puig went 1-4 on the night.

Angels 13, Indians 2

In a strong offensive performanc­e, the Angles defeated the Indians 13-2 Tuesday.

Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Justin Upton, Luis Valbuena and Rene Rivera all homered on the night, bringing in all but two of the Angels runs.

Garrett Richards got the win going 5.2 innings, striking out nine and giving up two runs.

NBA

Jazz 117, Lakers 110

The Utah Jazz defended homecourt against the Lakers beating them 117-110.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was Los Angeles’ leading scorer with 28 points and five rebounds. Kyle Kuzma was second, nearly recording a triple-double with 26 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists.

Clippers 113, Spurs 110

Making a furious comeback with under three minutes to go in the game, the Clippers found a way to win beating the Spurs at home, 113-110.

Tobias Harris had a team-high 31 points to go along with nine boards and three assists. DeAndre Jordan recorded another double-double with 10 points and 17 rebounds.

Lou Williams chipped in 22 points off the bench.
