Vikes volleyball wins

Valencia boys volleyball defeated Hart in five sets, 25-17, 13-25, 27-25, 18-25, 15-13 on Tuesday at Valencia. Cameron Graves led the Vikings with 17 kills, while Aaron Erskin dished out 44 assists in addition to 13 digs in the win.

Dorian Ellis and Connor Ruffner chipped in 11 and 10 kills, respectively, for Valencia. John Yamasaki led the Vikes defensively with 28 digs.

Prep baseball Trinity 18, Guidance Charter 1

Pitcher Drew Pfeiffer threw a complete game, ending the night with nine K’s. Luke Pfeiffer went 2-for-2 from the plate with five RBIs and a triple.

Joey Andolino went 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Mike Boulos and Tristen Rodriguez each went 1-for-2 with

one RBI apiece.

MLB Dodgers, Padres

As of The Signal’s press deadline, the Dodgers were tied with the Padres, 3-3, in the bottom of the 10th inning. Matt Kemp hit a two-run homer and had three RBIs on the night.

Red Sox, Angels

As of The Signal’s press deadline, the Angels trailed the Red Sox in the bottom of the ninth inning, 10-1. Albert Pujols was 1-for-3 on the night with one RBI.

NHL Knights 1, Kings 0

The Kings were eliminated from the 2018 Stanley Cup playoffs, losing in four games to the Vegas Golden Knights.
