2 wins for Knights

Trinity baseball defeated Santa Clarita Christian School at SCCS, 24-3 in five innings on Thursday. Pitcher Judah Palmisano recorded three K’s and went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI at the plate.

Jake Backes went 4-for-5 ending with five RBIs. Pfeiffer brothers, Drew and Luke, went 3-for-5 and 3-for-4 with four RBIs each. Carson Campuzano went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Joey Andolino and Aiden Martinelli both went 2-for-4 with two and three RBIs, respective­ly.

Trinity softball also played SCCS at Trinity, beating them 22-10 on Thursday. Catie Robertson pitched five innings, ending the night with six K’s and went 3-for-4 from behind the plate. Ellie Howell went 3-for-5 while Elizabeth Craw went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.

Lacrosse

On Monday, Valencia boys lacrosse celebrated senior day by defeating Dos Pueblos, 10-2, and cemented their top-8 seeding in the Division 2 CIF playoffs. Multiple players scored as Ted Kozlowski, Justin Fox and Cody McGraw each netted two goals a piece, while Garrett Hixon, Caden Weibel, Adam Coley and Josh Vizcara tossed in one apiece.

In the first round of the Division 2 CIF lacrosse playoffs, thanks to suffocatin­g defense and tremendous goal keeping from Lucas Probst, the Vikings defeated No. 5 seeded Redondo Union, 10-2 on Wednesday.

Evan Dean, Noah Swigert and Garrett Hixon all scored two goals in the game, with Adam Coley, Ted Kozlowski, Justin Fox and Alexander Franz adding one goal each. Dylan Damiani, Garrett Hixon, Noah Swigert and Ethan Bain dished out the assists.

Next up for the Vikings is No. 1 seeded St. John Bosco Dons in Bellflower, CA.
