Angels buckle under Boston bats

The Boston Red Sox took down the Angels 9-1 in Boston on Tuesday.

Angel’s Ian Kinsler went 2-for4 on the day and Chris Young went 1-for-3 on the day scoring the Angel’s only run. John Lamb (0-1) gets the loss going 1.2 innings giving up three earned runs on six hits while striking out two and walking two batters in the loss.

Cubs, Dodgers

As of The Signal’s press deadline the Los Angeles Dodgers were trailing the Chicago Cubs in the top of the eighth inning 7-2 in at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Cody Bellinger was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Austin Barnes was 1-for-3 with an RBI.

College World Series

(Game 1) Arkansas 4, Oregon State 1

Arkansas Grant Koch was 2-for-3 in the game with a run and an RBI. Eric Cole, Casey Martin and Heston Kjerstad each had an RBI in the game for the Razorbacks. Blaine Knight (140) got the win going six innings giving up one earned run on seven base hits while striking out six and walking one.

Oregon State’s Trevor Larnach was 2-for-4 with a run and Adley Rutschman was also 2-for-4 in the game. Luke Heimlich (16-3) went 4.1 innings giving up three earned runs on three hits while striking out five and walking two batters in the loss.

The College World Series Championsh­ip Final continues today at 4 p.m. in Game 2 as the Razorbacks look to sweep the Beavers in the best-of-three series.
