Sharon Lee (Grams) Dawe
1944-2018
Sharon Lee (Grams) Dawe passed away on July 5, 2018. She was born February 21, 1944 in Cincinnati, OH to parents Charles and Margaret McLaran, both deceased. She had two older brothers, Robert Charles who preceded her in passing and William Kenneth of Lake Havasu City, AZ. She is survived by her husband George William Dawe, two wonderful sons and their wives, Michael and Courteney of Canyon Country, CA and Steven and Katy of Valley Springs, CA. Known as Grams by her beloved grandchildren, she is survived by Megan of New York City, Jacob of Agoura Hills, Sean of Canyon Country, Olivia and Alexis of Valley Springs. They are and were the love of her life.
Sharon’s family moved to Fullerton, CA in the early 1950s, where she attended school and met her future husband, George William (Bill) Dawe in high school. They were married in 1963 and recently celebrated their 55th anniversary with family and friends. Sharon worked at Hughes Aircraft until they started their family. In 1971, Sharon and family moved to Pleasanton, CA where Bill pursued his career in the IXUQLWXUH ¿HOG $IWHU WKHLU VRQV HQWHUHG high school, Sharon became active in Bill’s business and oversaw their furniture showroom in San Francisco for over 19 years until they retired in 2008. She also was active in their sons’ schooling and ran the high school booster club for several years. In their return to Southern California, they settled in Saugus to be close to their family.
Sharon was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all. She gave more than she received and never ever complained HYHQ WKURXJK KHU ORQJ ¿JKW ZLWK EUDLQ disease.
The family wishes to thank the hospice, TrinityCare for their devoted time and care they gave Sharon. They made sure she was comfortable and painless in her last months with us.
