What: County of Los Angeles residents will have the opportunity to safely discard of household hazardous waste such as antifreeze, unused pharmaceuticals, car batteries, used motor oil, paint, pesticides, home-generated sharps waste such as hypodermic needles, pen needles, syringes, lancets, and intravenous needles, universal waste including household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, and electronic waste (e-waste) such as TVs and monitors, computers, VCRs, stereos, and cell phones at the next free Countywide Household Hazardous Waste Roundup. Concerts in the Park - Hotel California ‘A Salute to the Eagles’
What: The city is inviting residents to once again “sing and dance the night away with family and friends” during concerts from returning favorites and exciting new acts at Central Park. The internationally recognized salute to the Eagles, will plug in their guitars and microphones today. Feel the wind in your hair as the group performs megahits like “Take it Easy” while blending in selected titles from the solo works of Glen Frey, Joe Walsh and Don Henley. What: The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Friends of Hart Park, present an evening of country music and dance featuring Sue Ray and the Runarounds.
