GOLDEN VALLEY 24 FULLERTON 14

The Grizzlies will find their groove in the run game for a win in their first home game of the season. Derrese Morganfield and Carlos Meza will add to their total tackles this season, a stat that is already in the double digits for both of them.

WEST RANCH 24, ST. GENEVIEVE 21

I really don’t see any reason to doubt the Wildcats offense at this point. The defense will get its chance to shine in this game as it takes on a dual-threat QB and a quality running back, too.

VALENCIA 48, SILVERADO 27

The Vikings will bounce back from last week’s loss in a big way with a solid win over Silverado, despite the long drive to get there.

SAUGUS 42, BUENA 0

The Centurions will continue to steamroll through preleague with a shutout. Buena is struggling, while the Saugus offense is chugging along both through the air and on the ground, with a stalwart line on top of it all.

CANYON 27, BURROUGHS 21

Despite the loss last week, the Cowboys managed to hang tough with San Fernando. If it can replicate the first-half success of the last game, Canyon will be able to pull off its first win of the season.

ARCADIA 30, HART 17

The Apaches have a ton of good receivers, which will provide a challenge for the Indians’ secondary. Hart will be good this season, it’s just going to take a little bit for them to find their true identity.

TRINITY 45, FILLMORE 21

The Apaches have a ton of good receivers, which will provide a challenge for the Indians’ secondary.
