JAM Sessions with Thursdays At Newhall

Gallery Talk: Printmaker Gail Hercher
What: Printmaker and painter Gail Hercher, M.F.A., will share everything there is to know about gelatin monoprints, a relatively new printmaking method which does not require a printing press. As a printmaker, Hercher focuses primarily on gelatin monoprinting because it is an expressive medium that uses a handmade gelatin plate with colorful non-toxic inks and is printed by hand. This makes it a spontaneous, joyous, and inexpensive printmaking experience for both beginner and advanced printmakers. When: 2 p.m.
