Loving Hearts, a Christian-based nonprofit for the Santa Clarita area, plans to hold its first classical music benefit concert this month.

The concert is planned at the Newhall Church of the Nazarene Korean for 6 p.m. Sept. 15.

The organization plans to bring young, emerging musicians to play a variety of string instruments at the concert. There will be around 11-12 performances of piano, viola, violin, cello and more. Details are still being finalized, said founder Grace Seo.

All proceeds from the event will go to the WiSH Education Foundation to aid students in need within the William S. Hart Union High School District, she said.

Seo said she is working with a social worker within the Hart District to see how to locate the students.

“This is our first concert, but we’re really thinking of doing it every year,” Seo said. “We have great performers involved with the organization, but they don’t have opportunities to perform. We want to give them an opportunity and for a good cause.”

The Los Angelesbased nonprofit does outreach throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

It provides classes in art, English language, sewing, quilting, line dancing, Pilates and more at 23310 Cinema Drive, No. 105, in Valencia.

Loving Hearts, in operation since 2015, recently held its first Valencia Korean Festival at the Santa Clarita United Methodist Church in May, which highlighted Korean culture and included a bazaar and Korean foods.

Tickets are $10 and available at www. lovinghearts4u.org or in person at Angus Meat Market.

The Newhall Church of the Nazarene Korean is located at 23857 The Old Road in Newhall.
