What: Everyone is welcome to exhibit their home-grown roses at the show, including novices and children. You do not have to be a member of the rose society to exhibit, and there are no entry fees. CBS Film Series presents “The Invisibles”
What: In June 1943, Germany infamously declared Berlin “free of Jews.” But at that moment there were 7,000 Jews still living in the Nazi capital: hiding in attics, basements and warehouses;, protected by courageous Berliners while desperately trying to avoid deportation. “The Invisibles” dramatically tells the stories of four German Jews, who with great ingenuity and emotional strength and great risk to themselves, managed to evade Nazi authorities between 1943 and 1945. Taking on false identities and risky activities, they endure through resourcefulness, luck and the decency of fellow Germans. Hart High School presents ‘Into the Woods’
What: Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated dark comedy that follows a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
