Council declares vacancies, approves local appointments
The city of Santa Clarita has 13 vacancies on multiple commissions, boards and panels for which it’s seeking community-minded individuals to submit applications.
During its regular meeting on Tuesday, the City Council unanimously approved the local appointments list and declared vacancies for all boards and commissions.
Pursuant to the city’s appointment policy and to inform the public of the opportunities for participation on local regulatory and advisory boards and commissions, the city announces the following openings: Planning Commission, three appointments;
Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission, three appointments;
Arts Commission, three appointments;
Open Space Preservation District Financial Accountability and Audit Panel, three appointments; and the Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control Board of Trustees, one appointment.
Interested applicants have until 5 p.m. on Dec. 20, to submit applications to the City Clerk’s Office, located at City Hall at 23920 Valencia Blvd., Suite 120.
Applicants must be 18 years or older and maintain their principal residence in the city during their term of office. Evening availability is also required for all positions, and the District Board member must also travel by personal vehicle to a meeting location outside Santa Clarita.
