First Presbyteri­an Church presents ‘The Green Velvet Christmas Dress’

What: “The most original Christmas play I’ve ever attended! An amazing and touching play.” The First Presbyteri­an Church of Newhall will be performing “The Green Velvet Christmas Dress.” This original play, written by Melea J. Brock, chronicles the 130 year journey of a very special dress. The play delivers a most amazing and touching story of hope. A portion of the play includes an interactiv­e teatime of red velvet cupcakes with the cast members!

Old West Chapter ‘Breakfast with Santa’

What: Old West Chapter No. 642 is holding its annual “Breakfast with Santa” at the Old West Masonic Center. A homestyle breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes and biscuits with or without gravy, juice, milk and coffee will be served. The children’s ticket price includes a plush animal and a picture with Santa. Members of Old West Masonic Lodge will conduct their Child I.D. program at no charge to participan­ts. Mrs. Santa will offer homemade candies and other goodies made by her elves and helpers. The Candle Lady, handmade jewelry and other boutique items will be available. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit the sponsors fraternal purposes.
