New franchise coming to SCV
Free senior care provider, Assisted Living Locators announced Thursday its expansion coming to Santa Clarita
Assisted Living Locators, with locations across the country, announced Thursday the launch of its franchise in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The free senior care provider and referral service will offer the full continuum of care, locating quality assisted living options throughout the Santa Clarita and Antelope valleys.
The franchise is owned by elder-care advisor Shannon Avazian, a lifelong resident of the SCV.
“I’m passionate about helping others and am excited about assisting families navigate the system to find the best senior care options for their loved ones,” she said in a prepared statement.
Assisted Living Locators offers a no-cost service for seniors and their families with expert advice on short- and long-term care options including in-home care, independent living, assisted living, memory care and retirement apartments.
Revenue is generated from referral fees paid by the facilities, according to the company’s news release.
According to the Administration on Aging, a U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services agency, the population of adults 65 and older is experiencing the biggest increase in history. The number of seniors is expected to rise by more than double between 2010 and 2050.
“As a result of our growing senior population, many different options for care and housing are available…,” said Avazian. “Seniors and their families need a trusted advisor to help them navigate what can be an overwhelming amount of information. I am also a resource for short-term respite care, emergency discharges, and out-of-town relocations.”
She added that Assisted Living Locators offers a complete assessment of a senior’s needs and recommends a plan that provides the full continuum of care.
“Our goal is to assist families in choosing appropriate care options for their loved ones, to save time, decrease stress, and to provide ‘peace of mind,’” said Avazian.
She said living in the SCV area allows her to look at a wide range of options, touring and ranking all facilities she recommends to make sure that partners in the senior care market can deliver the best care possible.
