Faith Community Church plans to host its 13th annual Festividad for Christ Community Christmas Celebration in Newhall today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free for the entire community to attend, this annual event has in the past given children the opportunity to play in the “snow,” boys and girls up to age 13 will receive wrapped gifts, and free, gently used clothing also will be available for those who need it.

“We look forward to hosting ‘Festividad’ every year and welcoming our neighbors for a joyous celebration,” said Steve Jackson, senior pastor at Faith Community Church. “With more than 100 volunteers coming together to make ‘Festividad’ possible, it’s our way of giving back, and we are thankful for the opportunity to share God’s love during the Christmas season.”

In addition to free food and clothing, families will also receive a turkey to go home with for Christmas dinner.

In years past, the event has typically drawn more than 1,000 visitors, according to church organizers.

The event is scheduled to be held at Faith Community Church, located at located at 24620 Meadowridge Drive, Newhall, 91321, just south of Newhall Avenue.
