Monthly Informatio­nal Meeting on Fostering/ Adopting a child

What: Adoption is a meaningful way for individual­s and couples to fulfill their dream of parenting. There are approximat­ely 64,000 children in foster care in California. Los Angeles County’s foster care population exceeds 21,000 children with 200 foster children waiting to be connected to a family who will adopt. Children’s Bureau offers a comprehens­ive foster care and adoption program that brings families together for a lifetime. Romance Writers of Santa Clarita

What: With only 15 members, our meetings are informal and casual. Normally, we have a bestsellin­g author or someone discussing the craft of writing. These meeting are designed for both published and unpublishe­d authors.

When: Third Saturday of the month, 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.

Brittany Foundation Dog Adoption Events

What: The Brittany Foundation Sanctuary & Dog Rescue shows our adoptable dogs at the PetSmart National Adoption Weekend events held four times a year in Stevenson Ranch. Additional dogs from our Sanctuary can be viewed on our website. The Brittany Foundation is currently scheduled to be at PetSmart every third Saturday of the month with more dogs that need forever homes. Please “Adopt, Don’t Shop!” Check our website for future updates.
