You can find beer recipes for every meal of the day whether it’s brunch, lunch or dinner. In the last decade, beer-centered cookbooks have become common along with many beer-related recipes on the internet.

These days, more and more professional and home chefs are using beer in their recipes. There are numerous restaurants these days that will use beer in some of their menu items because of the many possible flavor profiles of different craft beers. When cooking at home, you can use your favorite craft beer in a recipe and then serve that same beer with your meal!

Some beer styles to try in your recipes are amber ales, which usually are not that bitter but provide some great caramel malt flavors. Amber ales are amazing in anything you plan to grill and can be used in marinades and sauces. Bavarian Hefeweizen which has some fruity-spice notes are fun to use in salad dressings especially in the warmer months. Hoppy beers such as India pale ales are great if you like a little bitterness and work really well if you balance your sauce or marinade with some sweetness.

There are so many possibilities of using craft beer when cooking along with tons of recipes for you to try out. If you love to cook and like craft beer, search out some beer recipes and give them a try. Life’s short, drink craft.

Cheers!
