Santa Clarita River Rally What: Come help Green Santa Clarita clean a portion of the Santa Clara River. This is an excellent volunteer opportunity for scout troops, youth groups and the entire family. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes (no sandals), appropriate clothing for walking in the riverbed, sunscreen, a hat and bring a reusable water bottle to help us cut down on plastic bottle waste. Participants will be provided with gloves, collection bags and refreshments.

26th annual An Evening Under the Stars

Caregiver Resource Day — Knowledge is Power: Aging with Dignity Symposium What: Caring for a loved one in need is rewarding; however, the demands of caregiving increase over time and can become very overwhelming. Caregiver burnout is very common and can take a toll on your physical, mental and social life. Having a strong support system and knowing what resources are available to you and your loved one will help to alleviate the caregiver burnout. Saugus Cheer Team Clinic What: Kindergarten through eighth-graders are invited to join the Saugus High School cheer team for their annual cheer clinic. Participants will be broken up by age group to learn basic cheer skills, jumps and chants, as well as teamand spirit-building activities, all while spending time with the team. Clinic participants also will have the opportunity to cheer alongside the Saugus High School cheerleaders under the Friday night lights during the first quarter of the Centurions’ home game on Friday, Oct. 4, at College of the Canyons. Set Sail with the S.S. LARC What: LARC Ranch is celebrating 60 years with its Set Sail with the S.S.
