Hello, this is Steve Sturgeon, your board member for Area 4. I have represented the district for 21 years and I am seeking reelection. While on this board, we have added six six schools; our seven high schools are in the top 12% of all public high schools in the U.S., and we are one of 12 districts in California given the Award for Excellence. We represent over 22,000 students and a budget of over $230 million.
Because of COVID-19, I am committed to help guide the district and restore our services to the level we expect to deliver and move above and beyond. This is one of the greatest challenges our district and education as a whole has had to face.

James Webb
As a high school teacher for 20 years in the Hart District at Saugus and West Ranch, and the parent of a junior high student, James Webb is equipped with the necessary skills to empower equity for the district and to enrich the school experience for all students. He knows that if teachers, students, families and the community work together, we can achieve a much-needed shift in thinking that will enable the Hart District to involve all stakeholders to support both the academic and socialemotional well-being of all children for today’s classroom. He understands that these partnerships increase school safety, rigorous classrooms and family support of the education opportunities that the Hart District provides to its students.
