CBS Film Series: ‘Soul Sanctuary’ What: CBS film series presents a virtual screening of “Soul Sanctuary,” plus questionan­d-answer with the director and Rabbi Jay Siegel of Congregati­on Beth Shalom.

When: Through 10 p.m. Monday

Summary: At a synagogue in West Los Angeles there is a treatment center that approaches addiction as a spiritual malady. Led by a brashtalki­ng, ex-con, recovering alcoholic rabbi, Beit T’Shuvah has helped people recover from addiction and destructiv­e behaviors to find their way in the world. With addiction on the rise, “Soul Sanctuary” will give you an understand­ing of the mindset of an addict and their journey into transforma­tion.

Passover Experience in SCV

What: This year, we are having our best outdoor Passover holiday experience yet at Chabad of SCV.

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday

Summary: Walk through the Visual Passover story as you control a captivatin­g soundtrack, collect souvenirs, interact with costumed characters and bake Matzah at the model Matzah bakery, as you experience the exodus from Egypt like never before. Fun for the entire family. This event will be outdoors with social distance guidelines. Only two families per time slot. Tickets: $5 per child; CHS students free. Where: Chabad of SCV, 24729 Valley St., Newhall.

St. Clare’s 2021 annual Lenten Fish Fry

When: 4:30-7:30 p.m. March 26

Summary: St. Clare’s has been hosting its annual Fish Fry for 43 years and we aren’t letting COVID-19 stop us from serving the community this year. Our Fish Fry is completely volunteerb­ased, so you know your food is made with extra love and care. All proceeds go directly to these wonderful Santa Clarita donation centers, including Bridge to Home, the Santa Clarita Food Pantry, and the SCV Pregnancy Center, as well as directly helping local individual­s and families in need.

How Preorders Work: Preorders open on Friday at noon and continue until 6:30 p.m. or until we sell out. Each preorder dinner is $15 — you are paying for a faster, more convenient service. All Dinners will consist of: 3 pieces of beer-battered Alaskan cod; french fries; cole slaw; dinner roll; tartar sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar; choice of bottled water or soda can (Coke, Diet Coke, or Sprite).

How Pickup Works: Pickups will be outside the front of the Youth Hall. Parking is available on the street (Calla Way) — do NOT pull into the church. Pickup at your allotted time (given when you check out). First pickup at 4:30 p.m. and last pickup at 7:30 p.m. Please bring a copy of your receipt — hard copy or digital accepted. Please follow CDC guidelines by wearing your mask at all times and staying 6 feet apart from those not immediatel­y in your household.
