Canyon Theatre Guild presents ‘Mamma Mia’

The smash musical comedy hit, “Mamma Mia,” is coming to the Santa Clarita Valley. One of the most popular hits on Broadway, “Mamma Mia” ran for an amazing 14 years with over 5,000 performanc­es. The fun didn’t stop there, as it went on to run in Las Vegas to the delight of an additional 2 million fans. The story is about a young woman who does not know who her dad is, but wants someone to walk her down the aisle, so she invites three people who she thinks may be her father without telling her mom. Complicati­ons and comedy ensue. Fans of the magical musical group, ABBA, will have the opportunit­y to relive all of their greatest hits. The show is rated PG. “Follow Your Art” Exhibit

The city of Santa Clarita welcomes the newest art exhibit, “Follow Your Art,” which will be displayed at City Hall from Oct. 4 through Dec. 3. As technology has strayed away from the use of maps, artists have found exciting ways to keep the beauty and inspiratio­n of maps alive. “Follow Your Art” showcases the use of a physical map to create original artwork ranging from large portraits to small collages and threedimen­sional pieces. Salvation Army’s Pedal Home: Bike and Helmet Drive

Help those in need get where they need to go by donating a bicycle and/or helmet to the Salvation Army Santa Clarita Valley Corps. The bike and helmet drive will kick off on Oct. 18 and go until October 29. Donations can be dropped off at the Salvation Army offices on October 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, and 28. Bicycles should be in good condition and any size is welcome. Once the bicycles are donated, they will be checked out and tuned up so they are ready for their new owner.
