Walk of Western Stars Unveiling/Block Party

The city of Santa Clarita invites the community to the unveiling of the newest inductees on the Walk of Western Stars, Cesar Romero and Ricky Schroder, who will be honored with a bronze star on terrazzo tile outside of Reyes Winery on Main Street. Free parking for the Walk of Western Stars unveiling will be available in the parking structure located on 9th Street between Railroad Avenue and Main Street. People can also park in the public parking lot on the corner of Main Street and 6th Street. The unveiling will be followed by a reception inside Reyes Winery on Main at 6 p.m. and a Westernthemed block party from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Main Street. ‘Stardust’ author discussion

The College of the Canyons Spring 2022 Star Party promises to be an educational and inspiring evening under the night sky with John Callas, manager of NN-Explore and former manager of the Mars Exploration Rover Project at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Callas will present “The Robotic Exploration of the Surface of Mars,” a 45-minute presentation that will provide an overview of NASA’s sustained exploration of MARS dating back to 2004. The Star Party will feature the opportunity for participants to observe through telescopes with the help of local community astronomy clubs. The city of Santa Clarita invites residents to come together as a community and celebrate – at Party on the Pointe. The party will last into the night and offers a full afternoon and evening of free fun and entertainment, including musical performances, a mechanical shark, drop zone, super slide, zip line, rock-climbing wall, giant bounce house, indoor roller rink, Nerf wars, a ferris wheel and more. Parking at the Sports Complex will be extremely limited due to the majority of lots being utilized. Auxiliary parking at Golden Valley High School (27051 Robert C. Lee Parkway) and William S. Hart Union High School District (21380 Centre Pointe Parkway). Free shuttle service available beginning 11:45 a.m. with final shuttles departing Party on the Pointe at approximately 10 p.m.
