PAC-10 tops Berks in Senior All-Star Baseball Classic, 8-3
A rough start didn’t harm the Pioneer Athletic Conference’s chances for winning Saturday’s Senior All-Star Baseball Classic. Far from it. The PAC spotted the Berks League All- Stars three runs in their first atbat, then put the clamps on the rest of the way. The PAC rode a pair of four-run productions to an 8-3 victory over Berks in their annual clash, played at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Earl Kochel, of District 3-AAAA finalist Gov. Mifflin, drove in all three Berks runs with a three-run home run.
Alex Condello (Owen J. Roberts) hit a bases-clearing double in the seventh to pad the PAC’s 4-3 lead. Condello also threw one inning of relief, one of five PAC pitchers to see action.
